What does Duely do?
Duely helps short-term rental hosts stay on top of occupancy and lodging tax. You log booking revenue per property and jurisdiction, and Duely calculates how much tax you owe, separates what the platform already collected from what you must remit yourself, and reminds you before each filing deadline.
Isn't occupancy tax handled by Airbnb or Vrbo automatically?
Only sometimes. Booking platforms collect and remit lodging tax in some jurisdictions but not all. Where they don't, the host is legally responsible for collecting it from guests and remitting it to the city, county, or state. Duely helps you track exactly what is left for you to file.
How does Duely calculate what I owe?
You set the combined rate for each jurisdiction you operate in (state plus county plus city). Duely applies that rate to your taxable booking revenue, subtracts any amount the platform already remitted, and shows the remainder due. Always confirm current rates with your tax authority — Duely is a record-keeping tool, not tax advice.
Can I export a filing summary?
Yes. Duely generates a period summary PDF you can keep for your records or hand to your accountant. PDF export is part of Duely Pro.
How do document expiry alerts work?
Add your STR permit, business license, and insurance with their expiry dates, and Duely flags anything that is expired or expiring soon — before it turns into a fine or a revoked permit.
What does Duely Pro include?
Pro unlocks unlimited records, the period filing summary PDF, and document expiry alerts. It is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, each with a free trial. You can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Duely, and cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?
Open the paywall or the Settings tab in the app and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
Where is my data stored?
Your records are stored on your device. Duely has no account and no server that receives your business data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
