How to play
Each level places your team on one side of a snowy field and the opposing team on the other. You take turns throwing snowballs until one side runs out of players.
- Touch and hold anywhere on the screen to start aiming.
- Drag backwards to set the angle and the power of your throw. A longer drag throws harder and farther.
- Release to let the snowball fly. It follows a curved arc, so aim above your target rather than directly at it.
- Each hit knocks down one opponent. Clear the whole team to finish the level.
- Snow forts block throws. Hit a fort enough times and it breaks apart, opening a path.
Later levels introduce wind, which pushes the snowball sideways in flight. Watch the wind indicator at the top of the screen and compensate by aiming into it.
Frequently asked questions
How many levels are there?
The game includes 40 levels. The first 12 are free to play. The remaining levels unlock with a single one-time purchase, with no subscription and no recurring charge.
I bought the full game but the levels are still locked
This usually happens after reinstalling the app or setting up a new device. Your purchase is stored with your Apple Account rather than inside the app, so it needs to be restored once.
- Open Snowdown and tap the settings icon.
- Tap Restore Purchases.
- Sign in with the same Apple Account you used for the original purchase when prompted.
If the levels are still locked afterward, confirm that you are signed in to the correct Apple Account under iOS Settings, then your name, then Media and Purchases. Purchases cannot be transferred between different Apple Accounts. If everything looks correct and the problem continues, email us and include your device model and iOS version.
The purchase screen says the item is unavailable
Try these in order. The first two resolve nearly every case.
- Check that your device has a working internet connection, since the purchase itself requires one.
- Force quit the app and reopen it, which lets the store information reload.
- Confirm that purchases are not blocked under iOS Settings, then Screen Time, then Content and Privacy Restrictions.
- Restart your device.
I was charged twice
The full unlock is a one-time purchase and cannot be bought twice. If you attempt it again, the App Store recognizes the existing purchase and restores it at no charge. If your statement shows two separate charges, contact Apple directly at reportaproblem.apple.com, since all billing is handled by Apple and we have no access to payment records.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are issued by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, find the purchase, and choose the option to request a refund. We are unable to process refunds on your behalf.
My progress disappeared
Progress is saved on your device only, so it does not transfer between devices and it is not backed up to our servers. Deleting the app permanently removes all levels you have completed. If you deleted the app, your progress cannot be recovered, but your purchase can still be restored with the steps above.
Does the game work offline?
Yes. Everything except making or restoring a purchase works without an internet connection. The game is fully playable in airplane mode.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes. The game contains no violence beyond cartoon snowballs, no advertising, no chat, no external links, and no user-generated content. It collects no data of any kind. Parents who want to prevent the in-app purchase can disable purchases under iOS Settings, then Screen Time, then Content and Privacy Restrictions.
A level feels impossible
Every level is solvable. If you are stuck, try aiming higher rather than harder, since a steeper arc drops behind forts that a flat throw cannot clear. On windy levels, aim into the wind rather than at the target. If you believe a level has a genuine problem, email us the level number and we will look into it.
Which devices are supported?
The game runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17.0 or later. It is not available on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Watch.
