CabFile ("the app", "we", "us") is a record-keeping tool for IFTA fuel tax and DOT compliance documents, built for truck owner-operators and small fleets. We designed CabFile so that your business records stay on your own device. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
Information we collect
We do not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal information. CabFile has no user accounts, no login, and no server that receives your business data.
The information you enter into CabFile — fuel purchases, mileage by state, receipt photos, document types and expiry dates, and any settings such as your base jurisdiction and truck number — is stored locally on your device by the app.
Camera and photos
If you choose to attach a photo to a fuel record, the app accesses your camera or photo library only for that action, and only with your permission. Receipt images you attach are stored with your records on the device. You can decline these permissions and still use the app.
iCloud
If iCloud is enabled on your device, the operating system may back up app data as part of your normal iCloud backup. That data is handled by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy. We do not have access to it.
Purchases
CabFile offers an optional auto-renewable subscription, CabFile Pro. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple provides us only with the anonymous transaction information needed to confirm and maintain your subscription. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchase data.
Analytics and advertising
CabFile contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking. We do not build a profile of you and we do not track you across apps or websites.
Children
CabFile is a business tool intended for commercial drivers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices
Because your records live on your device, you are in control. Deleting a record removes it from the app. Deleting the app removes its local data from the device. If you use iCloud backup, manage that through your device's iCloud settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
