1. Data controller

2. Principle: no data collection

Kreuzbube does not collect, store or transmit any personal data to the developer. The app requires no internet connection, no registration and no sign-in in order to play. No names, email addresses, location data, contacts, photos or device identifiers are collected.

3. Data stored locally

For the app to work, the following data is stored exclusively on your device:

• Game states, played rounds and score sheets
• Statistics such as win rate, bid values and game types
• Your settings, such as computer opponent strength, card design and sorting

This data does not leave your device unless you have enabled iCloud sync. Deleting the app also removes the locally stored data.

4. Optional iCloud sync

If you have enabled iCloud for Kreuzbube in your device settings, your statistics and settings are synchronised between your own devices via Apple CloudKit. This data resides in your private iCloud database. The developer has no access to it and can neither view nor analyse it. Apple is responsible for this processing. You can disable sync at any time in your device settings.

5. Purchases in the App Store

Kreuzbube offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full version. The purchase is handled entirely by Apple. Apple is your contractual partner and processes payment and billing data. The developer receives only aggregated, anonymised sales reports from Apple that do not allow conclusions about individual people. The app checks purchase status via Apple StoreKit; no data is transmitted to the developer in the process.

6. Diagnostics and crash data

The app contains no third-party crash or analytics tooling. If you have enabled sharing with app developers under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple provides the developer with aggregated crash reports and performance data. These cannot be attributed to an individual. You can change this setting at any time.

7. No tracking and no advertising

Kreuzbube shows no advertising, uses no advertising identifiers and embeds no tracking or analytics libraries. No cross-app tracking takes place, which is why no App Tracking Transparency prompt appears.

8. This website

These pages set no cookies and load no external fonts, scripts or other third-party content. Your hosting provider may keep technical server log files to ensure operation, typically containing IP address, date, time and the page requested. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure and trouble-free operation under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

9. Children

Kreuzbube is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the rights of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). Since the developer processes no personal data about you, these rights generally cannot be exercised against the developer. For data processed in connection with your Apple Account, iCloud or your purchases, please contact Apple directly.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

11. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy will be updated if the app or the legal situation changes. The current version is always available at this address.
