This Privacy Policy explains how [YOUR LEGAL NAME OR COMPANY] ("we", "us") handles information in the Silent Reflux: LPR Diary app (the "App"). We built the App to be private by design: your health entries stay on your own devices and in your own private iCloud account. We do not run a server that collects your logs.
1. Information you enter
The App lets you record health-related information such as throat symptoms (hoarseness, throat clearing, globus sensation, cough), meals and meal timing, sleep and lying-down times, medications, notes, and related entries. This information is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database.
2. iCloud sync (optional)
If you are signed into iCloud and iCloud is enabled for the App, your entries are synced through Apple's CloudKit private database so they are available across your own Apple devices. This data resides in your iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to it and we cannot retrieve, view, or export it. If you disable iCloud, entries remain only on the local device.
3. Information we do NOT collect
- We do not require an account, name, email, or phone number to use the App.
- We do not collect, receive, or store your health entries on any server we operate.
- We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
- We do not use third-party advertising or advertising identifiers.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple provides us with anonymous, aggregate transaction and subscription-status information needed to deliver the features you paid for. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles payment data.
5. Diagnostics and analytics
If you have enabled sharing on your device, Apple may provide us with anonymized, aggregated crash and usage statistics through Apple's App Analytics. This data is not linked to your identity and does not include your health entries. You can turn this off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
6. Your control and deletion
- You can view, edit, or delete any entry inside the App at any time.
- Deleting the App removes locally stored data from that device.
- To remove synced data, delete entries in the App or remove the App's data from your iCloud account in Settings › [your name] › iCloud.
- You may export a report (for example as PDF or CSV) to share with your own doctor — this happens on your device and under your control.
7. Children
The App is intended for adults managing their own health and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Medical disclaimer
The App is a personal logging tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your symptoms and treatment.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
