Cavalti

Privacy Policy

Last updated July 31, 2026

Cavalti is a training log for canine athletes. It was built to work entirely on your iPhone. We do not run servers, we do not have user accounts, and we never see the sessions you record.

The short version: everything you enter into Cavalti stays on your device. We collect no personal data, use no analytics, and show no advertising. There is nothing for us to sell, because nothing reaches us.

Who we are

The app is developed and published by Yasin Halit Karayağız, an independent developer based in Istanbul, Türkiye. For anything in this policy, write to support@keremkarayagiz.com.tr.

Information stored on your device

When you use Cavalti, you create records such as:

  • Dog profiles, including name, breed, date of birth, and weight
  • Conditioning sessions, including exercise type, duration, repetitions, and load
  • Heart rate recovery readings and muscle condition scores
  • Competition dates and taper plans
  • Rest days, injury notes, and free-text observations
  • Photos you choose to attach to a dog or a session

All of it is written to a private database inside the app's own storage container on your device. It is not transmitted to us and it is not accessible to other apps.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, iOS may sync your Cavalti database to your personal iCloud account so the data appears on your other devices. That copy lives in your Apple account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to it and cannot read, restore, or recover it.

You can turn this off at any time in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Apps Using iCloud.

Subscriptions and payments

Cavalti offers an optional subscription. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or handle your name, billing address, card number, or any other payment detail. Apple provides us only with anonymous, aggregated sales reports that cannot be traced back to an individual.

Diagnostics

If you have opted in to share analytics with app developers under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may send us anonymized crash reports. These contain technical information about the crash and no training data or personal identifiers. You can opt out in the same place at any time.

What we do not do

  • We do not require an account, email address, or phone number
  • We do not embed third-party analytics, attribution, or advertising SDKs
  • We do not track you across apps or websites
  • We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with anyone
  • We do not use your content to train machine learning models

Permissions the app may request

  • Photos — only if you attach an image to a dog or session. Access is limited to the photos you pick.
  • Notifications — only if you enable session or recovery reminders. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device.

Both permissions are optional and the app remains fully usable if you decline them.

Retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. Because we hold no copy, deletion is entirely in your hands:

  • Delete individual dogs or sessions from within the app
  • Use Settings › Erase All Data inside the app to wipe the local database
  • Delete Cavalti from your device to remove its local storage
  • To remove the iCloud copy, go to Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage

Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription. See the Terms of Use for how to cancel.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or Türkiye's KVKK — including the right to access, correct, port, or erase your personal data.

In practice, we cannot fulfill such a request for you, because we hold no personal data to access, correct, or erase. Everything is already under your direct control on your device. If you believe we hold information about you, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

Children

Cavalti is intended for adults who train and handle dogs in sport. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since the app collects nothing at all, no such information can reach us.

International transfers

Because no data leaves your device, there is no international transfer of personal data by us. Any iCloud sync happens between you and Apple under Apple's own terms.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
