Tonvia does not collect your personal data. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Your portrait, your palette and every photograph of your clothes stay on your iPhone.
Who is responsible
Tonvia is developed and published by Yasin Halit Karayağız, an individual developer based in Istanbul, Türkiye. For anything in this policy, write to support@keremkarayagiz.com.tr.
What Tonvia stores, and where
Everything the app holds is written to your device's own storage, inside the app's private container. None of it is transmitted anywhere.
| Data | Where it lives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The portrait you take or choose | Your device only | To measure your skin, hair and eye colour |
| Your measured colours and season result | Your device only | To show your palette and judge your clothes against it |
| Photographs of your clothes | Your device only | To build your closet and suggest outfits |
How the analysis works
Colour analysis runs entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework, which is part of iOS. Your photograph is never uploaded, never sent to a server, and never processed by any third party. If you delete the app, or use "Erase all data" in Settings, everything described above is removed from your device permanently.
Face data
Tonvia uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to locate a face in the photograph you provide and to find the position of the cheeks, forehead, eyebrows, eyes and pupils. It reads those regions for one purpose only: to sample the colour of your skin, hair and eyes.
Tonvia does not collect face data. Specifically:
- What is derived: the landmark positions produced by Vision exist only in memory, for the moment the photograph is being measured, and are discarded as soon as the measurement finishes. They are never written to storage. The only things Tonvia keeps are three average colour values — skin, hair and eyes — and, if you choose to keep your result, the photograph itself.
- No faceprint or template: Tonvia does not create a face template, faceprint, biometric identifier, or any other representation capable of identifying or recognising a person. It cannot match one face to another, and it performs no face recognition, verification or identification of any kind.
- Where it is processed and stored: entirely on your device, inside the app's private container. No face data and no photograph is ever transmitted off the device.
- Sharing: face data is never shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third party, including us. There is no server to send it to and no third-party SDK in the app.
- Retention: landmark data is retained only for the duration of the measurement. The portrait you keep, and the colour values derived from it, are retained on your device until you measure again, use "Erase all data" in Settings, or delete the app. There is no other retention period, because there is no other copy.
- Advertising and profiling: face data is never used for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than producing your colour palette.
Camera and photo library
Tonvia asks for camera access so you can take the portrait it analyses and photograph your clothes. It asks for photo library access so you can pick an existing photo instead. Tonvia reads only the specific images you select. It never browses your library, and it does not write anything back to it.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the one-time unlock are processed by Apple through the App Store. Tonvia never sees your name, your payment details, or your Apple Account. The app only asks iOS whether a valid purchase exists on the device.
What Tonvia does not do
- No accounts, sign-ups, logins or email collection
- No analytics, crash reporting or usage tracking of any kind
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers
- No third-party SDKs — the app uses only frameworks supplied by Apple
- No selling, sharing or disclosure of personal data, because none is collected
Your rights
Because Tonvia holds no data outside your device, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or delete on your behalf. You have complete and direct control: Settings inside the app has an "Erase all data" action that removes your palette, your portrait and every garment photograph immediately. Deleting the app does the same.
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA apply to you, this means we are neither a controller nor a processor of personal data collected through the app, and we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
Children
Tonvia is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Since no information is collected from anyone, no such information can exist.
Changes
If a future version of Tonvia changes what it stores or where, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
